A Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Management Science at the Technical University of Vienna. His research and teaching activities focus on financial and sustainability accounting. He has authored more than 500 books and papers, mostly in these fields. With regard to outreach activities, he is a member of working groups, e.g. of the Climate Change Centre Austria, and collaborating with businesses and NGOs on sustainability-related projects.
 

ANETA FUSIARA

ESG Expert, Corporate Banking Sustainable Finance Department at mBank. Aneta supports corporate clients in the identification of potential and the process of obtaining sustainable finance. It includes Sustainability-Linked Loans, Green Loans, transition financing, investments aligned with the EU Taxonomy and any other sustainable finance products. She leads workshops and educational meeting for both corporate clients and banks' employees, and teaches postgraduate courses in the field of sustainable development. She participates in working groups on EU Taxonomy at the Polish Bank Association and the Sustainable Investment Forum Poland (POLSIF). Her previous experience from the field of sustainability was at Deloitte's Sustainablity Consulting team, where she worked in the circular economy area. This included monitoring legislation at the European and national levels and analysisng the impact of these regulations on client operations, developing industry reports and circular business models, and creating ESG policies, reports, and strategies. Aneta is a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics with a degree in finance and accounting.

 

MIRJANA HLADIKA

University of Zagreb, Chorwacja


PhD, an Associate Professor and a Head of the Department of Accounting at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb. She is an expert in the fields of management accounting, agricultural accounting, ESG reporting, sustainable business, and the impact of digitalisation on accounting. Through her extensive experience in academic and consulting work, she has led numerous research projects focused on integrating financial and non-fianancial information into business decision-making, implementing management accounting methods in agricultural companies, and digitalising accounting. Her expertise also includes the analysis of double materiality and she challenges of implementing sustainability standards in the Croatian and regional context. She actively works on disseminating knowlegde through professional education, publishing scientific and professional papers, participating in international conferences, and delivering guest lectures at academic and professional institutions in the country and abroad. She is a member of the supervisory board of one bank and the chairwoman of the audit committee on another bank.

 

GIUSEPPE NICOLÒ

University of Salerno, Włochy

 
 

PhD, an Associate Professor of Accounting in the Department of Management and Innovation Systems at the University of Salerno (Italy), where he teaches Financial Accounting, Business Administration, and Research Methods. His research primarily focuses on accounting and corporate governance, with a particular interest in sustainability and ESG issues in both corporate and public sector contexts. He has extensive editorial experience, currently serving as Associate Editor for several highly ranked international journals, including Business Strategy and the Environment, Sustainability Accounting, Management and Policy Journal, Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, and Sustainable Development. His publications appear in leading journals such as Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal, Accounting in Europe, Business Strategy and the Environment, Journal of International Financial Management & Accounting, Meditari Accountancy Research, and Journal of Applied Accounting Research. Recognised for his scholarly impact, Prof. Nicolo has received multiple Best Paper Awards and has been acknowledged for producing highly cited articles in the fields of sustainability reporting and intellectual capital.



 

GUNNAR RIMMEL

Aalborg University Business School, Dania

 

 

Professor of Accounting & Sustainability Reporting at Aalborg University Business School, Denmark, and currently Visiting Professor at GRACE & MPOB-UKM Endowment Chair in Oil Palm, The National University of Malaysia, as well as at the Henley Business School, University of Reading. He is an internationally recognised scholar in sustainability and corporate reporting, with a distinguished academic career in Denmark, Sweden, and the UK. He previously held the Chair in Accounting & Corporate Reporting at Henley, where he founded the Henley Centre for Accounting Research & Practice (HARP). His research explores the transformation of financial reporting through sustainability dislcosures with particular focus on biodiversity, integrated reporting and sustainability reporting developments. He has actively contributed to European sustainability standard setting through his work with EFRAG's European Lab, including the development of ESRS implementation guidance, and he is currently a member of the EFRAG Academic Panel. Gunnar Rimmel is editor of the textbook Accounting for Sustainability (Routledge), with a second edition due in 2025 and a Chinese translation scheduled for 2026. He also led the Research Handbook on Sustainability Reporting (Edward Elgar, 2024). He has published in top international journals such as AAAJ and Accounting Forum, and supervised over a dozen PhD students in Sweden, the UK, Singapore and Denmark.

 

FRANK SCHIEMANN

University of Bamberg, Niemcy

 
 

Professor of Business Administration, especially management accounting at the University in Bamberg. He received his PhD from the Technische Universitat Dresden. His research focus is on sustainability reporting and accounting. His recent projects focused on the development and consequences of (mandated) corporate sustainability (and climate-related) reporting and materiality in the context of sustainability reporting. He serves on the editorial board of Accounting Forum and European Accounting Review. Knowledge Transfer is also an important element of Frank's works. He is a member of EFRAG Academic Panel, the Stakeholder Reporting Committee of the European Accounting Association, and the expert committee "Sustainability" of the Society of Investment Professionals in Germany (DVFA). His research has been published in international academic journals, including Business & Society, European Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Organization & Environment, and Organizational Research Methods.


JOANNA DYCZKOWSKA

PhD, Associate Professor and the Head of the Department of Cost Accounting, Taxes Management and Controlling at the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business in Poland. Her research interests include non-financial, integrated and sustainability reporting, stakeholder management and stakeholder capitalism. She authored the monograph on non-financial disclosures in the R&D area in biopharmaceutical companies. Joanna is an editor or co-editor of many international monographs, of which the last ones include the following titles: Human versus Machine: Accounting, Auditing and Education in the Era of Artificial Intelligence (2024); Sustainable Performance in Business Organisations and Institutions: Measurement, Reporting and Management (2023). She has also published her research in top-ranked journals, including Accounting, Auditing & Accountability JournalMeditari Accountancy ResearchManagement DecisionAccounting and Management Information Journal, and International Journal of Intellectual Property Management. In 2018, she received a mini-grant directed to young resaerchers from CEECs funded by ACCA Global and another grant under the MINIATURA 2 program from the National Science Centre in Poland to implement the research on the concept of an integrated reporting model in the light of the pragmatic constructivism paradigm. From 2019 to 2022, she was a Polish leader of the INTEREST project (INTEgrated REporting for SMEs Transparency).

Director at EY Poland in the Wroclaw office, with over 13 years of experience in audit. He previously gained professional experience in Poznań, where he  also completed his studies in Finance and Accounting at the University of Economics. He holds the qualifications of a Polish Statutory Auditor as well as the Association of Charted Certfied Accountants (ACCA). He specialises in auditing the financial statements of large international and Polish companies, particularly in the real estate, automotive, industrial manufacturing, and energy sectors, including companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. In addition, at EY, he is involved in training programs and developing cooperation with universities, including the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business - this cooperation covers participation in the Program Council, delivering workshops and lectures, and other events. Privately, he is passionate about sports and travelling.

An engineering leader with a strategic perspective, heading the engineering department in Poland at the world's largest custodian (BNY Mellon). GRZEGORZ RAWICZ-MAŃKOWSKI

PhD, Business Development Manager at Controlling Systems and an expert in business analytics. He began his education in medical sciences, preparing his PhD in pathophysiology in France, where he also worked on technologies for people with disabilities. He was a Fellow of the Foundation for Polish Science. He holds an MBA from IFG and has completed numerous prestigious training programs. For over 25 years, he has been active in the modern technologies market. Grzegorz Rawicz-Mańkowski has in-depth knowledge of Business Intelligence, Corporate Performance Management, and Data Discovery tools, as well as practical experience in their effective application across various types of organisations. He spent over 12 years with SAS Institute, a global leader in Advanced Analytics, working in both national and global structures. He created the SAS Academic Program, which was later developed in many countries. Currently, he is a long-standing member of Controlling Systems, the Polish leader in controlling solutions. Grzegorz Rawicz-Mańkowski has also collaborated with Qumak, FranklinCovey, Master International, Success Across, and Public Consulting Group, and has worked at the Sheikh's Palace in Qatar. He lectures in postgraduate and MBA programs, including at Kozminski University and Estonian Business School, and is a speaker at controlling training and workshops. He is the author of numerous publications, including co-authorship of textbooks on economic informatics and knowledge management. He is a strong advocate of the pragmatic use of modern technologies in business.

An expert in business development, digital transformation, and the application of artificial intelligence and automation in industry, finance, and business operations. She currently serves as Business Development Director at PROA Technology, where she supports organisations in implementing RPA, chatbots, and voicebots to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and enable data0driven decision-making. She has developed her career in senior management roles within strategic cinsulting and technology. As CEO of an industrial robotics and automation company, she supported the digitalisation of the Polish industry and successfully led an R&D project combining robotics with articicial intelligence and machine learning. She has also gained extensive experience in strategic management and key account development, particularly in the IT and consulting sectors. In parallel, she runs her own company, MS Consulting, focused on Smart Marketing & Business AI, where she integrates emerging technologies with the design of business strategies. Passionate about fostering innovation, she helps organisations embrace new technologies while ensuring transparency and regulatory compliance.


 

TOMASZ M. ZIELIŃSKI

Managing Director of ICV Polska and Polish Delegate to the International Association of Controllers, responsible for transferring advanced know-how in modern controlling to the Polish market. He is the President and a lecturer at Akademia Controllingu Sp. z o.o., and serves as Program Supervisor of the diploma course Advanced Controlling Business Partner (ACBP). He holds the Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation from MIT Sloan Executive Education. From 2019 to 2023, he served as Director of Controlling at the VOX Capital Group. He is also a business expert, consultant, and lecturer with practical experience in cost and profitability management, controlling, process management and Business Intelligence. Tomasz M. Zieliński advocates for responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in finance and controlling. He is an IBCS® Certified Consultant in management reporting and holds a PhD in Economics from Poznań University of Economics and Business, specialising in finance, controlling, and accounting. He is the author of the RPCA/ZPRK (Resource and Process Consumption Accounting - RPCA) methodology, implemented in companies such as ORLEN Laboratorium, ORLEN Kolej, Santander, Komputronik, Profim, Energa and others across manufacturing, services and retail sectors.

His areas of expertise include internal audit, management control, and the applications of artificial intelligence and process automation in auditing. He is the author of two monographs and over 45 scientific articles published in national and international journals, and the co-author of the chapters in the book: Human versus Machine. As an academic lecturer and trainer, he has conducted courses in Poland and abroad, including those within Erasmus+ programs. He is also the head of the postgraduate program "AI and Technologies in Internal Audit and Control". Piotr Bednarek is a Ceritfied Internal Auditor (CIA) and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, the European Accounting Association, and the Management Control Association. He combines academic activity with advisory work for public institutions and the private sector.
